This Long Beach based quartet of rock thunder was dubbed the Halo Friendlies by Sub Pop recording artist Damien Jurado.

Singer/guitarist Judita Wignall started the band with guitarist Cheryl Hecht, bassist Natalie Bolanos, and drummer Deanna Moody after learning how to play 3 chords on her pawn shop guitar. It wasn't long before the girls began to take on the southern California music scene and in the spring of 1998 released their self-titled debut album on Jackson Rubio Recordings.
The girls embarked on a two month national tour in the summer of 1998 travelling in a spacious Isuzu Rodeo. They opened for bands like Rancid, No Use For a Name, MxPx and Dance Hall Crashers. They've also been on the Warped Tour, Eat'm Fest in Las Vegas, NXNW Music Festival, SXSW Music Festival, and the Rockrgrl convention in Nov 1998.

In April 1999, Jackson Rubio released the Acid Wash EP, which now featured Natalie on guitar and new bassist Ginger Reyes. Deanna left the band, got married, and moved to San Francisco, and a new drummer was found, Christina Theobald, formerly of Rubyjoe. After touring on the Vans Warped Tour 2001, numerous southern California gigs, and an appearance on television's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, the girls headed into the studio with producer Kim Shattuck of The Muffs and recorded Get Real - their strongest, most vibrant and rockin' record yet. The summer of 2002 saw the Halos on a 5 week stint on the Vans Warped Tour '02, supporting the release of Get Real. Currently they are preparing to tour with Good Charlotte.
